Andrew Stephen Locke (born November 10, 1996) is an American football quarterback for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Missouri and was drafted by the Broncos in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Interception
Safety Darwin James made a near athletic diving interception by Broncos quarterback Drew Locke, and the Chargers took possession of the ball in Broncos territory. Quarterback Justin Herbert hit wide receiver Keenan Allen on back-to-back plays for 32 yards and then found Austin Eckler running back for a 12-yard touchdown that extended Denver’s lead to 14 just before halftime. Turned -7.
Locke is playing out because of another drama involving James. He hit Teddy Bridgewater as Bridgewater delivered a pass in the first quarter and the quarterback walked onto the bench with a lower right leg injury. Bridgewater went to the locker room and called the suspect to return before rejoining the team, but Locke played down the center half.
The Chargers were down 14-0 after running six offensive plays for 16 yards and then saw the end of their third possession when they failed to convert a quarter into the Broncos’ 35-yard-line. They remained in the game as the defense forced a quick punt and lock interception, and the Broncos can’t feel very confident about their offensive abilities as long as Bridgewater remains out of play.

He was likely to drop out of Missouri, a first-team All-SEC in 2017 and lead the nation in passing touchdowns with 44.
Overall, in his four years with Mizo, Locke threw for 12,193 yards, 99 touchdowns and 39 interceptions.

When the Broncos selected Locke, they were still looking to replace Peyton Manning, who retired after the 2016 NFL season.
He drafted Paxton Lynch in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but he dropped out after five games with the team.
Locke was drafted with the hope that he could be Denver’s quarterback in the future.
He started five games as a rookie and went 4–1, throwing for 1,020 yards and a 7/3 TD/INT ratio.
Locke retained his opening role in the 2020 season and started 13 games for the Broncos, going 4-9.
He completed only 57.3 percent of his passes for 2,933 yards, 16 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
Locke’s interception was tied for most in the NFL with then-Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz; Despite missing three games.

Drew Locke has been the Denver Broncos’ starting quarterback for 18 games over the past two seasons, but according to head coach Vic Fangio, he’s not guaranteed to keep that job in 2021.
The Broncos took the lock in the 2019 NFL Draft with the 42nd overall pick. The former Missouri star completed 57.1 percent of his passes this season for 16 touchdowns and an NFL-high 15 interceptions. Denver went 4-9 with lock under center.
The Broncos are in a position to grab first-round talent at quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The NFL Players Association on Tuesday announced its 2020 performance-based bonus, of which $8.5 million was allocated to the Denver Broncos.
These bonuses are calculated and awarded to players who have outperformed their respective contracts relative to the time of play.
Some performed better than others; Inside linebacker Alexander Johnson, who logged 96.2% of Denver’s defensive snaps, banked a team-high $539,136, while offensive tackle Quinn Bailey (0.2%) earned one—$949.
Evaluation
While it is only Thursday and there is still a chance that Bridgewater plays this week, the Broncos will have to be prepared to go with their second option. Drew Locke ended the game against the Ravens, and the offense didn’t look good with him in the second half.
Locke finished the day completing 21 of 12 passes for 113 yards and one interception. He deserves a bit of leniency due to the fact that he came off the bench against a good defense, but this performance certainly doesn’t calm the nerves going into the next week.
So in today’s film room, I decided to take a look at a little bit of Locke’s history as a starter in Denver, as well as to see how worried the Broncos should be if he has to start this week.
