White was born on April 11, 1988 in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica. When he was 12 in the 1990s, White moved with his family to the United Kingdom. Patrick White, his grandfather, was an Irishman who immigrated to Jamaica from Dublin, Ireland.

White stated several times on IFL TV that growing up in Jamaica was difficult, as he was “dodging bullets” and being exposed to conditions that no child of his age should be exposed to. White was raised in Brixton, London, and trained at Miguel’s boxing gym.

He had previously stated that boxing had an impact on his early life, adding: “To be honest, I didn’t do well in school, but boxing saved me and changed my life. And everything was floating around.” Because I knew this was going to be the best chance of my life.”

Now he has his chance to take revenge in what is truly a career-defining bout on ‘Rock in the Sea’.

The luxurious surroundings are far from how far he has come.

‘The Body Snatcher’, as his sinister nickname is, grew up as a self-confessed thug in the concrete jungle of Brixton, where he had to use his fists to get himself out of trouble.

But this did not always work when guns and knives were brought into battle.

As a street kid, the 31-year-old British heavyweight boxer was shot twice and stabbed three times on the mean streets of South London as gangs were rampant.

And as he became a teenager, White’s life changed dramatically when he became a father for the first time.

However, that hasn’t stopped the 6ft 4in brawler from succeeding in life – which has recently seen his name cleared of any doping charges as he still targets a World Championship title fight.

White was born into poverty in Jamaica, and his mother left the family home in Portland when he was just a child to find a job in London.
