Derrick Deshaun Watson (born September 14, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the Cleveland Brownsof the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Clemson, where he led the team to the national championship in 2016. Watson was selected by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Suspension
On August 18, the NFL and the NFL Players Association settled on Watson’s 11-game suspension, after more than two dozen women were accused of sexual assault and inappropriate sexual misconduct during massage sessions. Watson was also fined $5 million and had to undergo a compulsory treatment program.
Over the summer, Watson agreed to settle 23 of the 24 lawsuits against him. Two other women filed criminal complaints against Watson but did not prosecute him.
Two grand juries in Texas declined to pursue criminal charges against Watson earlier this year. But Sue L. Robinson, an independent arbitrator jointly appointed by the league and the players’ union, found that “the NFL bears its burden by the primacy of the evidence to prove that Mr Watson has engaged in sexual harassment.” Robinson also concluded in his report that Watson’s behavior was both “arrogant” and “predatory”.
Watson has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and said that people are not interested in hearing his side of the story.
Girlfriend
Despite being banned by the NFL for sexual misconduct allegations by 24 women, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshan Watson is still in a relationship with Houston, TX native and singer Jilly Anais.
The two have reportedly been dating since 2019, and the musician has been with her for years affected by the pandemic. He was pictured holidaying in various tropical destinations around the world in 2021.
However, Anees keeps the relationship a bit more low profile on social media, and her posts haven’t featured Watson since her January 4, 2022 birthday party.
Since the turn of the year, the former Miss Houston has been keeping the disgraced athlete at arm’s length on her Instagram, but there has been no confirmation about the breakup.
Lawsuit
In the lawsuit filed Thursday in Harris County (Texas), Watson is alleged to have solicited plaintiffs on Instagram with a direct message for a massage in a Houstonian hotel room in Texas in December 2020, while he was a member of the Texas Health Organization. The lawsuit states that during the session, Watson “constantly pressured [plaintiff] to massage his private area” before “removing his towel” and “offering him to ‘go on top’.” According to the lawsuit, plaintiff “refused to have sex with Watson, although he was able to pressure her into oral sex” and “Watson paid [plaintiff] $300 for her services, although Her typical fee for a one-hour massage was $115.”
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff “has been suffering from severe depression and anxiety” since the alleged incident.
The woman’s attorney, Anissa Nguyen, told ESPN: “My client’s experience with Deshaun Watson follows a series of disturbingly similar encounters reported by more than 20 women who have filed suit against NFL superstars. ” “Like many others, my client spent almost two years struggling to cope with the shame and trauma that he stole from her and the daily pain that had become her reality.
