According to the judicial ruling, it was announced that everyone who is suing Watson cannot remain anonymous. That being said, 21 plaintiffs agreed to continue with their names no longer being anonymous. One person who dropped her case said it was due to privacy and security concerns.
The female lawyer, Tony Buzby, spoke about how the disclosure of their names would lead to various security issues. Nfl trade deadline
SportsPulse, USA Today
Deshan Watson’s NFL playing career seems to be on hold until at least 2022.
The Houston Texans didn’t trade the three-time Pro Bowl quarterback, who has yet to play this year and by Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, faces 22 civil lawsuits and 10 criminal complaints from women alleging sexual assault and misconduct .
Watson, 26, solicited business from the organization in January before filing a civil suit. He has not practiced with the team and has been inactive for all 1-7 Texan games this season.
The Miami Dolphins were engaged in business discussions with the Texans at various points and were, according to several reports, Watson’s only boyfriend by the time frame. According to multiple reports, Watson has a no-trade clause and did not indicate that he would waive it for any other potential teams beyond Miami.
Trade new
After speculation and trade rumors heated up in the days leading up to the trade deadline, Texans quarterback Deshan Watson is officially living in Houston for the remainder of the 2021 NFL season.
After an off-season trade request and a few months of controversy, including 22 sexual misconduct trials and a pending criminal investigation, Watson is still firmly on the Houston bench, and will remain there until the 2022 off-season. Davis Mills and Tyrod Taylor would both remain the team’s QBs in Watson’s absence, while GM Nick Casario would reopen these discussions after the season.
