Deason William Jackson (born December 1, 1986) is an American football wide receiver who is a free agent. He played college football for the California Golden Bears, where he was recognized as a Consensus All-American in 2006 and 2007. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, and has also played for the Washington Redskins. and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jackson has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times, and was the first player selected to the Pro Bowl in two different positions in the same year, when he was named to the 2010 Pro Bowl as a wide receiver and return specialist.

Deason Jackson reportedly has multiple lovers after the Los Angeles Rams released him this week.
According to Bally Sports’ Michael Silver, Jackson spoke with Las Vegas Raiders executives on a Zoom call on Saturday.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network said there are currently seven teams in the mix for Jackson.
The Rams announced on Tuesday that they had released the three-time pro bowler after failing to find a trade partner.
The Raiders appear to be in the market for another wide receiver, but it doesn’t look like they’re going to make a play for arguably the biggest name that will be available.
Silver told Friday that when his release from the Cleveland Browns becomes final, he doesn’t anticipate moving to Las Vegas after Odell Beckham Jr.
One reason the Raiders did not pursue Beckham is related to the position of his hat. He currently has a space of $2.9 million available per over cap.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Beckham’s resale deal with the Browns includes $4.25 million in salary and a roster bonus of $3 million for the remainder of the 2021 season.
If a team claims a waiver on Beckham, they will be on the hook for the rest of his salary and roster bonus. If veteran wideout goes unclaimed, Brown must pay the remaining salary and Beckham becomes a free agent.
Jackson approved the waiver on Thursday, making him eligible to sign with either team. He showed tremendous big game ability in limited action with the Rams.
Raiders
Two veteran receivers are available, one now and one soon. The Raiders, who released receiver Henry Ruggs earlier this week, are talking to the one that is available now. However, they likely won’t sign the one who is available now until they know whether they won’t get the one who will be available soon.
DeSean Jackson, released by the Rams on Tuesday, has cleared waivers and can sign with any team. Odell Beckham Jr. Will officially hit the waiver wire on Monday, and teams will have 24 hours to decide whether to claim him on waivers.
As one league source explains it, the Raiders are taking their time with Jackson until they know what will happen with Beckham.
By Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET, it will be known whether someone has claimed Beckham or whether he’ll become a free agent. And if he becomes a free agent, the Raiders should quickly know whether they’d have a chance to land him.
As reported on Saturday, the Browns moved a significant chunk of Beckham’s remaining salary of $7.25 million into a roster bonus due next week, which keeps the total financial commitment for the claiming team at or about $7.25 million, but which drops Cleveland’s ongoing financial obligation in the amount of the roster bonus.
Patriots
With two straight wins and some winnable game on the horizon, the Patriots are heading in the right direction. And though the team — like most in the NFL — didn’t add at the trade deadline, a pair of potential game-changing receivers presents an intriguing opportunity to add some pop to the offense.
In one case, a player is available. In another, a player seems like he may soon become available. Both are big names, and both are sure to draw varying levels of interest around the league.
The available player is DeSean Jackson, the veteran burner who asked the Rams to release him after he was taken less than 20 percent of the team’s offensive snaps through eight games.
The player who will seemingly become available is Odell Beckham Jr., who was “excused” from Brown’s practice this week the day after his father posted a video of Baker Mayfield failing to find him when he’s open.
On the one hand, the Patriots may want to be careful with any moves that upset or alter the week-to-week growth and development of rookie quarterback Mac Jones. On the other hand, Bill Belichick has never been afraid to shake things up midseason if the right situation presented itself.
