Derrick Lewis: Prediction| Next Fight| Knockout| Interview

Derrick Lewis (born February 7, 1985) is an American professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the Heavyweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he currently holds the record for most knockouts in UFC history. A professional competitor since 2010, Lewis has also competed for Bellator MMA and Legacy FC, where he was the heavyweight champion.

I think Lewis still has a few more knockouts left in him.

Mind you, nothing against any particularly nice guy, but Nascimento is not that guy. He’s completely average, and his win streak consists of defeating Don’tel Mayes twice and going out quietly with a few split decisions. I’m reminded of just a few months ago, when Shamil Gaziev was brought out of the undercard to face off randomly with Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Just because the A-side of a heavyweight fight is losing a fight to the top tier doesn’t mean a mediocre talent will take their place!

Lewis hits very hard and is very difficult to control. Eventually, he will get back on his feet, move forward and find his goal.

Knockout

Derrick Lewis has done it again. However, the celebration that accompanied his latest knockout is the greatest of all time.

Lewis scored a major knockout victory over Rodrigo Nascimento in the third round of their fight at UFC St. Louis on Saturday night. And in true Lewis fashion, his shorts, and briefly his underwear, landed in the middle of the Octagon. Lewis mocked the crowd at the Enterprise Center during the celebration and at one point even took off his cup and threw it into the crowd to offer as a souvenir.

The cup was actually caught by someone in the crowd who had access to the press conference with Dana White and Lewis. While White was hesitant to sign it, Lewis apparently signed immediately.

Lewis came out warmed up immediately. He landed a big head kick right out of the gate and then scored a solid takedown in the opening round. However, it was not until the third round that he made his move.

Interview

In MMA, fighters quickly learned that the power of the microphone can be a powerful thing.

That power can also be used in ways the industry has called “cringe”-worthy, and that’s what we often see — prepared zingers that were undoubtedly rehearsed dozens of times in bathroom mirrors, but they don’t pan out. The same thing happened even after slapping him on the face several times.

Then there’s Derrick Lewis, who seems to be able to combine the best of all the microphone worlds – unfiltered off-the-cuff one-liners, off-the-cuff responses to post-fight questions, and some forethought. -Understated things that sometimes lead to “Wait, did he just say that?” Is required. And a quick rewind.
