The veteran UFC heavyweight earned his first win since 2021 on the main card of UFC 291, knocking Marcos Rogerio de Lima off balance. After thirty seconds and dozens of punches, Lewis won by TKO in the first round.
Lewis then recovered his money from the win and broke the record for most UFC knockouts with 14.
Having lost his three previous fights, Lewis stripped down to his shorts – a move he had done before – and threw down a crotch chop before jumping to the top of the octagon.

Derrick Lewis and his lovely wife have three (3) children – two sons and a daughter. Due to the fact that they have kept their family life private, very little is known about these children.
Knockout
Derrick Lewis was feeling his celebration after scoring a stunning 33-second KO over Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC 291.
“The Black Beast”, who with his victory overtook Matt Brown as the all-time knockout leader in UFC history (14), came out of the gate with a jaw-dropping knee that floored De Lima and sent him Sent on canvas. The Brazilian could never get up again.
Lewis followed his opponent to the floor, where he unleashed a flurry of punches that didn’t give De Lima a moment to catch his breath. The punishment continued until De Lima was showing no signs of attempting to escape, causing the referee to stop action, and Lewis won the opening round.
Afterwards, Lewis immediately took off his shorts as he jumped over the cage and then he launched his athletic cup and glove into the crowd to ensure that the Utah faithful left with some personal mementos.
Wife
Derrick Lewis is married to his longtime girlfriend, April Davis. After dating for an unspecified amount of time, they got married in 2017. Not much is known about April, as Lewis is notorious for keeping her personal and work life separate, for good reason.
