Gets knocked out
Sergei Pavlovich scored a major victory at UFC 277 on Saturday night, although not everyone is happy with it.
Pavlovic scored his win over Derrick Lewis with a TKO, which took less than a minute at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. This marked Pavlovic’s fourth consecutive knockout win.
Pavlovich immediately warmed up, and made several major blows to the head of Lewis before backing the all-time KO leader into a corner in the Octagon. Suddenly, after a few more shots to his head, Pavlovich first sent Lewis down to the ground.
This prompted referee Dan Miragliota to end the fight then and there.
Results
Sergei Pavlovich won by TKO at 0:55 of the first round.
very nice! It was fast and crazy, but Pavlovich scored first and finished with the right!
The main card of UFC 277 is going to be played at 10 pm. ET on ESPN PPV. Will feature a third battle on the cards.
Did beat ngannou
Yes, he beat nagannou. Ngannou, who captured the crown by defeating Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 last March, lost in a unanimous decision to Lewis at UFC 226, widely regarded as one of the worst heavyweight fights in UFC history.
Since then, the 16-3 “Predator” has won five straight, all via knockout. For Lewis (25-7, 1 NC), he scored four straight victories, including the destruction of the Curtis Blades last February. It’s safe to say that a lot has changed since their first round.
