Entrance song:

Derrick Lewis walked out to the ‘Tops Drop’ song by rapper Fat Pat ahead of his fight against Curtis Blaydes at UFC Vegas 19. ‘The Black Beast’ used the same song while walking out to fight Aleksei Oleinik in August last year, and also against Ilir Latifi at UFC 247.

The song was released in 1998 as a lead single off Fat Pat’s debut solo studio album, ‘Ghetto Dreams’. Fat Pat was an American rapper who died at the age of 27 just one month before his album came out.

What song did walkout to:

The lineup did hold on to 10 bouts and was headlined by Derek Brunson (“10K” by KB) and Kevin Holland (“Beat Box 3” by SpotemGottem featuring Da Baby).

It is not uncommon for Derrick Lewis to specifically name someone. “Black Beast” usually doesn’t show much interest in who his next opponent will be and leaves everything to promotion. However, Derrick Lewis is currently interested in one name, and that is Stipe Miocic.

The co-main event at UFC 271 featured a heavyweight scrap between Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa, two of the most entertaining fighters in the 265-pound division.

There was a lot of hype surrounding the bout, and the two fighters certainly delivered on it. Proving many predictions wrong, the fight went past the first round and ended with a knockout victory for ‘Bam Bam’.

Coming into the fight, Tuivasa was riding a highly-impressive four-fight win streak in the UFC. All four of those victories were knockouts over fighters like Greg Hardy and Augusto Sakai.
