When did get drafted

Derek Carr: When did get drafted| Age| Where is from

Derek Carr was ranked 36th overall by the Oakland Raiders in the 2014 NFL Draft. The former Fresno State standout ranks as one of the most intriguing, lucrative quarterback prospects in the game, and his potential was too high for the Raiders to have.

Carr was a star recruit right out of high school, and he fulfilled that promise in a big way with Bulldogs. He racked up a lot of yards (12,842) in four seasons at Fresno State and displayed good accuracy throughout college, making himself a promising NFL prospect.

The former Fresno State signal-caller has a cannon, arguably the best arm in this year’s draft. He demonstrated good accuracy and delivery throughout his college career and is shaped to succeed among professionals. While he is not a true dual-threat quarterback, he is mobile and can play out of pocket to make plays. His decision-making ability and ability to read the defense were both solid, and he has great potential to become a star.

But Carr comes with considerable risk. He struggled several times in college against elite competition, and when he faced pressure, he had a bad habit of constantly passing throws or telegraphs when faced with crowds nearby.

Will Carr become an elite quarterback with his brilliant hand? Or will his instability under pressure see him struggle to fulfill his potential? Watch our draft experts discuss the range of the signal-caller and what he brings to the NFL.
