Injury report
The Denver Broncos got defensive lineman Mike Purcell back as a full participant in practice on Thursday, but still no improvement for Dalton Reisner or Graham Glasgow, making the inner offensive line a major concern over the weekend . Melvin Gordon’s run back also added an injury to the list that kept him confined to practice on Thursday.
Rumors continue about Lamar Jackson’s health, but I think the Baltimore Ravens are just being cautious and leaving their status in doubt until the last minute. The Denver Broncos entered the 2021 NFL Draft with rumors swirling around Aaron Rodgers and how much he was targeting Justin Fields with the ninth overall pick. The Rodgers rumors died down and then General Manager George Patton passed Fields to select Alabama cornerback Patrick Suren II.
By Day 2, the Broncos were ready to start making deals. First, he was traded five places in the second round to select North Carolina to finish behind Jevont Williams with the 35th overall pick. He then traded down twice in the third round to take two picks at the end of Day 2. With the 98th overall pick, Wisconsin-Whitewater drafted interior offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz and then stopped Ohio State linebacker Baron Browning with the 105th pick.
