Injury report

Denver Broncos: Injury report| Record| Score| Schedule| Draft

The Denver Broncos got defensive lineman Mike Purcell back as a full participant in practice on Thursday, but still no improvement for Dalton Reisner or Graham Glasgow, making the inner offensive line a major concern over the weekend . Melvin Gordon’s run back also added an injury to the list that kept him confined to practice on Thursday.

Rumors continue about Lamar Jackson’s health, but I think the Baltimore Ravens are just being cautious and leaving their status in doubt until the last minute. Even head coach Vic Fangio doesn’t believe Jackson will sit on Sunday, “Not really. No. 1, I’m pretty sure he’ll play. They’ll do the same offense to the other guy.”

Here’s your full Thursday practice participation report for both teams.

The Denver Broncos are an American football franchise based in Denver, Colorado. Founded by Bob Howsam on August 14, 1959, the team was one of the founding members of the American Football League (AFL), which began in 1960, before merging with the National Football League (NFL) prior to the 1970 season, [1] ] when the Broncos became part of the American Football Conference (AFC) West Division; They have been in the same division since then. As of the end of the 2020 season, Denver has completed 61 seasons (playing in more than 970 combined regular season and playoff games), and has appeared in eight Super Bowls; Although they lost in each of their first four Super Bowl appearances, they have since won three of them, most recently Super Bowl 50.

Score

The Jets were completely dominant in the first half. The Broncos made an offense for over 200 yards and scored 17 points in a very skilful display of football. The Jets were completely ineligible in the first half for the third straight week. The Jets took just 84 yards in the first half and scored zero points. This brings the Jets to three points in the first half of the season, and the Jets have been knocked out 46 – 3 in the first half of this year. The game was over by halftime.

The Broncos began to finish the clock in the third quarter as the Jets’ offense continued to go nowhere. By the middle of the quarter the Jets were not even attempting a credible attempt to score three down and the ball to win four straight plays. The Broncos entered the fourth quarter with a field goal for an all but unassailable 20 – 0 lead.

The rest of the game was extended garbage time.

The Broncos added some fourth quarter field goals to bring the final score to 26 – 0.

Jets go 0-3 a year with losses

Schedule

The hard part of the program begins after the goodbye week. Playing all but one of its games in the AFC West division after the week 11 goodbye is going to be a brutal test for this youth football team. If they have to fight for one of those playoff places, they really need to get in that bye week with a winning record.

Weeks 4-9 may be the most brutal part of the schedule. All of those teams, except the lower Las Vegas Raiders, have been playoff teams in recent history. It will also be important to cross that part of the schedule with some wins.

Draft

The Denver Broncos entered the 2021 NFL Draft with rumors swirling around Aaron Rodgers and how much he was targeting Justin Fields with the ninth overall pick. The Rodgers rumors died down and then General Manager George Patton passed Fields to select Alabama cornerback Patrick Suren II.

By Day 2, the Broncos were ready to start making deals. First, he was traded five places in the second round to select North Carolina to finish behind Jevont Williams with the 35th overall pick. He then traded down twice in the third round to take two picks at the end of Day 2. With the 98th overall pick, Wisconsin-Whitewater drafted interior offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz and then stopped Ohio State linebacker Baron Browning with the 105th pick.
