DeMar Darnell DeRozan (born August 7, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the USC Trojans and was selected ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2009 NBA Draft. He is a five-time NBA All-Star and a two-time All-NBA team member. He spent nine seasons with the Raptors, including five playoff runs, before being traded to the Spurs in the summer of 2018. DeRozan has played for the United States national team at the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Chicago Bulls star Demar DeRozan scored 38 points Saturday night and led the Bulls to a 106-101 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, the fifth game in a row he finished with at least 35 points.
DeRozan became the second player in Bulls history to record at least five straight 35-point games, joining Michael Jordan, who did so four times in his career, most recently in 1996.
After the win, DeRozan said, “It’s just an honor to have one of the greatest in the same [spot] – any kind of record book -.” “Especially playing for this organization. It’s an honor. Maybe it just hit me. I don’t know what role I’m on. That’s just me.”
During this streak, DeRozan has shot at least 50% off the field in all five games, tied for the longest such streak by any player in the past 30 seasons, according to research by ESPN stats.

Demar DeRozan scored 19 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter as the Chicago Bulls beat the San Antonio Spurs 120–109 to secure their fourth straight win.
It was DeRozan’s seventh consecutive game with at least 30 points, which elevated his career. The All-Star is the first player after Michael Jordan to have such a streak for the Bulls during the 1996–97 season.
Nikola Vucevi had 25 points and 16 rebounds for Chicago, which lost 131–122 at San Antonio on January 28. Coby White scored five 3-pointers and finished with 24 points.
The Bulls played without All-Star Zach LaVine, who missed his second straight game due to periodic pain in his surgically corrected left knee. Coach Billy Donovan said LaVine will also miss Wednesday night’s matchup with Sacramento.
San Antonio had won three out of four. Lonnie Walker IV scored 21 points for Spurs, and All-Star DeJonte Murray had 19 points and 11 assists.
San Antonio finished the third quarter with an 8–2 lead for an 89–83 lead. Walker had nine points in this period, including a lay-up with 24.5 seconds remaining.

DeMar Darnell DeRozan is an American professional basketball player who plays for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). DeRozan attended Compton High School and played his high school basketball at USC for the Trojans. In the 2008 season, he was named a McDonald’s All-American and First Team Parade All-American.
In his sophomore year, DeRozan scored 28 times in doubles points in 35 season games for the Trojans. He was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team and Pac-10 Tournament MVP. He was drafted by the Toronto Raptors as the 9th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. The 2013–14 season was a breakout year. He averaged a career-high 22.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
DeRozan also helped the Raptors win the Atlantic Division title for the first time in seven years. In the playoffs, he averaged 23.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, as the Raptors lost to the Brooklyn Nets in seven games. In the 2016 NBA playoffs, DeRozan averaged 20.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists and helped the Raptors reach the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time.
Highlights
DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine gave plenty to choose from. But DeRozan’s 38-point masterpiece in a 115-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on December 19 stands apart for several reasons.
It marked DeRozan’s first action in two weeks after being in the league’s health and safety protocols. The Bulls played without LaVine, who went down to the same protocol a few days earlier. And it had a lot of the signature elements that have defined DeRozan’s great season.
DeRozan threw 16 of 17 free throws, repeatedly turning the Lakers into defensive mistakes. Most importantly, he scored 19 points in the fourth quarter, including a 20-foot jumper over LeBron James, leading the Bulls with 52.6 seconds remaining.
