Injury acl
San Antonio Spurs guard DeJonte Murray has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his right knee, according to ESPN’s Michael C. Wright.
The 22-year-old will undergo surgery, but a date has yet to be announced, according to Wright.
Murray suffered an injury during a pre-season game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday. He turned down instead of using his power to help him off the court after using a wheelchair.
Unfortunately, the latest issue could cost them the entire 2018-19 season.
Murray was considered a potential breakout candidate going into his third season in the NBA. The point guard played early on the backcourt last season and finished the year averaging 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in just 21.5 minutes per game.
(illness)
Dejounte Murray missed Sunday’s performance with the Portland Trail Blazers for the San Antonio Spurs due to an illness, and seeing that, he won’t be back any time soon.
On Twitter, Murray revealed his true condition and admitted that he “became sick irregularly.” The issue has become really serious as he has already lost “7-8 pounds” and he is “feeling terrible” of late. He vowed that he would return to work to prepare for play-ins when he recovered, which suggests he could be out for the rest of his games in the regular season.
Sister passing
He posted on his instagram that his sister is passed away.
To hear the absolutely devastating news and no one should ever go through the death of a sibling. I extend my condolences to Dejounte Murray and hope he gets through this difficult time.
Heartbreaking for all of us basketball fans.
