According to a report from ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, San Francisco 49ers star Dibo Samuel asked the organization to trade him after he broke off contract negotiations. The versatile offensive weapon is in the final season of his rookie contract and the 49ers was not participating in the offseason program.

Samuel had the breakout of the 2021 season when he finished with 77 receptions for 1,406 yards with 6 touchdown catches. He also played a key role in the running game with 59 carries with 365 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground.

The DraftKings Sportsbook listed the odds where Samuel could land, although this bet is only available to bookmakers in Colorado.

The 49ers remain the top candidate for placing Samuel Ko with -205 odds while the New York Jets are outside San Francisco on 405 as the favorite. Jets head coach Robert Saleh was with the 49ers before moving to New York to take the job. There is a significant drop in the odds behind those two teams.

The most important part of San Francisco’s 2021 offense now wants to be out. On Wednesday it was reported that wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who finished last season with more than 1,700 total yards and 14 touchdowns, has asked the 49ers for a trade.

Samuel Davante joins Adams and Tyrek Hill among top-tier receivers looking for ways out of their team. Adams finished with the Dolphins in Las Vegas, Hill – and now with the draft and teams tying their rosters together, it’s unclear who could pull the trigger on a deal, and who had Samuel to land. Have money to unload, then sign it on an extension.

There are a few obvious names that come to mind. Cleveland would love a top-class receiver to pair with Deshun Watson, but he no longer has the assets to make a deal after his huge trade. Similarly one would have to imagine Mike McDaniel and the Dolphins would be all-in, but he’s already invested a ton in his business for Hill.

The 49ers are in no rush to make a deal, but should they decide to go for it, here are the teams that have a place, and need to pull the trigger on a Debo Samuel trade.

Landing spots

In NFL circles, this spring will be remembered as the receiver’s offseason.

It’s been quite a few months for pigskin-snuggers, with largely new contracts rolling in, blockbuster deals and the attention of the football world in basically every news cycle.

The latest development comes via San Francisco 49ers playmaker Deebo Samuel, who has requested a trade.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a juicy off season story this is! A top-tier talent, who is completely in his prime, reportedly wants to quit because of discomfort with his unique use… in a season where his unique use helped him climb to star status. . Drama, actually.

Sure, the 49ers can smooth things over and hang the receiver by paying him big bucks to remain the most versatile weapon in the NFL. But where’s the fun in that forecast?

Instead, assume that Samuel holds to his business demand, and the Niners – assuming the wideout is a product of Kyle Shanahan’s plan – are willing to accept. Where will Dibo land? Clearly, all 31 other teams must call – even if NFC West foes are “ignored” from Niners GM John Lynch.

So, let’s take a look at 10 places that could be ideal landing spots for Samuel. The teams are presented in descending order, starting with the possible marriages that I like the most.
