As goodbye weeks go on and injuries continue to mount, streaming on the tight end position is more important than ever — especially since there have been so few tight ends that have been a reliable option week in and week out. Of course, you’re not benching Travis Keels, Darren Waller, or Mark Andrews, but we’re at the point where you can realistically get a better sleeper option than George Kittel. We’ll be ranking this in our Week 10 Fantasy TE PPR Rankings.

Logan Thomas (hamstrings) should be back in week 10, so do yourself a favor and snag him if he’s available in your league. It’s rare to get a top-five upside-down player in any position for free, but here’s that chance. Dawson Knox (arm) is highly possessive, but is also looking for the status of his injury. The most consequential loss this week is probably C.J. Uzoma’s, so all the top guys are on the table. That said, not many people will need a streamer this week, but we know some do.

As it really matters going into Fantasy Football Week 10, it seems that a familiar face has re-emerged as the tight end of an elite that we are used to seeing. Is George Kittel Back To His Old Self? It’s time to continue our fantasy football series with a preview of our fantasy tight end Week 10.

The tight end position isn’t seeing much production outside of normal 7-10 players. People like Travis Keels, Darren Waller, Mark Andrews and TJ Hawkenson would produce higher levels more and more often. Few people are getting as close as Kyle Pitts and Mike Gesicki. It’s hard to get fantasy football production from anyone else, other than a few names. Aggressive game plans usually do not favor the tight end. Let’s take a look at what tight ends you should consider to start and sit for week 10.

Week 10

Gronkowski (back) missed practice on Wednesday, and Tampa Bay is intent on raising Darren Fales from the practice squad, so Gronk seems to be on the wrong side of “doubtful.” If he plays, he will be in line for a good matchup against the Washington defense, allowing Tee to have the 13th most fantasy points per game, despite largely avoiding premier tight ends.

Gronk will be our TE5 in standard and TE7 in the PPR league, but runs the risk of being on the snap count if he plays.

Dawson Knox Injury Update
UPDATE: Knox rehearsed Thursday, looking to be on track to suit up against the Jets.

Knox (hand) practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, so there is a chance he could play against the Jets in Week 10. If he’s active, he’ll be a low-level TE1, but we’ll have to monitor his availability later in the week without further information.

If he doesn’t play, put Tommy Sweeney on your bench. He didn’t do anything while Knox was out. If he proves us wrong, good for him, but we are willing to take that risk.

Week 10 Standard Ranking:

Logan Thomas Injury Update
Thomas (hamstring) practiced for the first time since the third week on Wednesday, but we’re not sure he’ll play and won’t know until at least Friday. If he plays, he is essentially a must-start, although he may be on the snap count.

Week 10 DFS Lineup: FanDuel | DraftKings | Yahoo

We rank him as the ninth most favorable matchup for tight ends (Tampa Bay) as TE7 in the standard and TE6 in the PPR league. Washington should have a near-happy game script against an elite front-seven and powerful offense on the other side of the field.
