Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku posted photos Wednesday that revealed burns to his face suffered in a recent domestic accident.
Njoku shared the photos on Instagram, writing “Legacy” in the caption of her post.
According to ESPN’s Jake Trotter, the former first-round pick suffered burns to his face and arm while lighting a fire pit at his home on September 29.
Just two days later, Njoku played in Cleveland’s Week 4 contest against the Baltimore Ravens, making six catches for 46 yards in the 28–3 loss. He reached the game wearing a mask.

Njoku somehow played through the pain of the burn and actually caught 6 passes for 46 yards in the loss to Baltimore.
Before the game, Njoku wore a mask that completely covered his face when entering the stadium, meaning no one got a close look at the former first-round draft pick.
That changed on Wednesday when Njoku posted a selfie from his car, presumably some time after it burned.
