David Klemmer: Wests Tigers| Age| News

David Klemmer may have played his final game for the Wests Tigers, with the Dragons reportedly eyeing the unsettled prop for the 2025 season.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Klemmer has fallen out of favor at the Tigers, highlighted by his omission from the club’s upcoming trial match against the Eels. Despite having a year left on his contract, the 30-year-old could be set to join the Dragons, filling the void left by Francis Molo.

The Dragons recently agreed to release Molo from his contract after initially denying his request. Club chair Andrew Lancaster stated, “The club’s primary concern has been Frank’s welfare. We’ve informed Frank and his manager that they are free to negotiate with other clubs. However, if a release is pursued, the Dragons will expect appropriate compensation.”

Age

He is 33 year’s old. David Klemmer was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and has German heritage.

News

Benji Marshall’s rebuild of the Wests Tigers looks set to continue, with reports suggesting veteran prop David Klemmer is on the brink of an exit.

Klemmer, currently in the final year of his contract, holds a player option for 2025, allowing an extension if he features in at least 14 games next season. However, that scenario now seems unlikely after he was omitted from the squad for the final pre-season trial against the Eels this weekend.

Speculation surrounding the 31-year-old’s future intensified after he was a late scratch from the Tigers’ opening trial match against the Bulldogs last week, fueling talk that his time at the club may be coming to an end.
