Davante Adams attended California State University, Fresno, where he played on the Fresno State Bulldogs football team from 2011 to 2013. In 2011, Adams rejoined Fresno State in his only season with then-head coach Pat Hill as a true freshman. In the 2012 season, they had a new head coach in Tim DeRuiter. In his collegiate debut, he had 118 yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Weber State Wildcats on September 1, 2012. In the next game, he had 12 receptions for 92 yards in a road loss to the Oregon Ducks.
On September 29, against the San Diego State Aztecs, he had eight receptions for 102 yards in a home win. On October 6, against the Colorado State Rams, he had his first of eight consecutive games. In the win, he had four receptions for 41 yards and two touchdowns. On October 20, against the Wyoming Cowboys, he had 11 receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown. In the next game, a road game against the New Mexico Lobos, he had nine receptions for 198 yards and two touchdowns. On November 10, in a road game against the Nevada Wolf Pack, he had nine receptions for 120 yards and one touchdown.

Adams, 29, has long been the Packers’ top receiver and a favorite of Aaron Rodgers. Adams has made five consecutive Pro Bowl appearances and has been named to back-to-back AP All-Pro First Teams. He has averaged 1,483 yards and 14 touchdowns in the 17 games he played during that period.

Davante Adams has secured the Las Vegas jackpot.
According to multiple reports, the Raiders acquired the star receiver in a trade with the Packers on Thursday, and immediately awarded him a five-year contract worth $141.25 million — making him the highest-paid wideout in the NFL.
Adams, who did not hide his disappointment over contract negotiations with Green Bay, was unhappy with the Packers being given the franchise tag this off-season.
He was ranked among the league’s top pass-catchers in 2021 with 123 receptions (2nd), 1,553 yards (3rd) and 11 touchdowns (fifth). He is now joined by quarterback Derek Carr and Las Vegas receivers including standout tight end Darren Waller. and slot receiver Hunter Renfro.
The trade – which netted Green Bay two 2022 picks, a first-rounder and a second-rounder – will see Adams reunited with his former Fresno State teammate Carr.

The sentiment was echoed by Carr, who was set to pitch his friend on Sin City last July.
