What happened to giants
New York Giants starting quarterback Daniel Jones abandoned Sunday’s 20–12 win over the Chicago Bears due to an ankle injury and returned only because backup Tyrod Taylor was forced out of the competition when he was assessed.
Taylor was later diagnosed with a concussion. He is now in protocol. Jones had an X-ray on his left ankle after the game and told ESPN whether the initial results were positive, “I’m fine.”
Jones said he did not know immediately after the game whether it was a high ankle sprain. He hopes to have more tests this week.
“I feel good. I feel good,” said Jones, who walked through the locker room and went to his postgame news conference with a noticeable limp. “There is a little pain but all is well. Listen to the trainers and doctors and go from there, but feeling well.”
The Giants (3-1) will play Green Bay Packers in London next Sunday. Jones and Taylor’s availability will be monitored throughout the week.

Benched
NFL training camp is just two weeks old and there’s already speculation about New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.
It began with suggestions during the team’s adaptation period that Jones might be sidelined by Tyrod Taylor. Then it became more about business for Jimmy Garoppolo. And now it’s back to Jones, despite back-to-back stellar practices.
NFL Network’s Eric Adhanom recently named Jones a starter who could lose his job before camp ends.
