A native of Sacramento, California, Hicks was born in Elk Grove, attended Del Campo High School in Fair Oaks, and began his college career at Sacramento City College. After the 2008 season, he was rated as a top junior college player and signed to play at LSU. However, a recruitment violation by LSU made him ineligible for the 2009 season; Unable to transfer to another American football program, he went to work at a DirecTV call center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, while he considered his next move. Hicks had an offer to play for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, but decided to continue his education and college football career with the Regina Rams of the Canada West University Athletic Association. After his first season in Regina, he was drafted by the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League, but decided to stay in college again. In his second year at Regina, he made 42 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks and was named the CWUAA’s top lineman. A Strong Performance at the East-West Shrine Game Raised His Profile with NFL Scouts.

“About five years ago, I just came up with a design. You know, I went to the store, found a cowboy hat I liked and took it home, I bought some stencils and I just put the little stencils in there. Gave it. Started,” said Robles. “It’s just a passion for me, it’s a hobby I’ve always loved to draw and paint. So when I came up with this idea, I just ran with it and people are loving it.”
Robles said it all starts in front of the Cowboy star and then he fills in the blanks with popular sayings, stars, whatever.

Former Penn State star Micah Parsons continues to garner praise during his rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys.
On Monday, the NFL announced that Parsons leads the NFC inside linebackers in Pro Bowl voting, placing the Harrisburg native in line to start the All-Star Game in Las Vegas in February.
According to the NFL, Parsons received 189,899 votes from fans. It ranks first among inside linebackers in NFC. His AFC counterpart, Denzel Perryman of the Las Vegas Raiders, received 113,733 votes.
