Former Mississippi State and current Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was sidelined when he suffered a compound fracture and dislocated his right ankle against the New York Giants in October.
Obviously, injuries like these require extensive medical attention, but apparently, Prescott tried to take matters into his own hands before calling on team staff for help.
“Yeah, so… I thought [his ankle] just rolled, and as soon as I grabbed it and did that I was like, ‘I need to get off the ground,'” Prescott told Sage Steele. Said in an interview with ESPN. “So, I was trying to set it back myself. I was trying to hit it on the ground.”

According to Todd Archer, Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott suffered a calf strain in the final game of the team’s 35-29 overtime win over the New England Patriots in Week 6 and will be further assessed on Monday. However, the situation could be worse than what the team is giving for now.
Luckily for Prescott, the Cowboys have a bye this week before taking on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football in Week 8.
