For those watching at home, the Dallas Cowboys’ three wins this season have come in explosive fashion. They demolished the New England Patriots 38-13, which means they have outscored opponents 108-13 in their three wins.

Dak Prescott hasn’t had to do much in these games and Sunday was the same.

The national media will hold this against him because it happens when he doesn’t throw for 300 yards and three touchdowns, but Prescott was as efficient as he was surgical against Bill Belichick’s defense.

Prescott was 28 of 34 for 261 yards and a touchdown, which added up to a 108.5 passer rating. He would have had two TDs if rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker hadn’t had a drop, but the 30-year-old doesn’t care much about stats.

Always demanding perfection from himself and his teammates, Prescott expressed some frustration with the Cowboys’ red zone offense, which improved Sunday but is still leaking oil. Ultimately, though, no one is splitting hairs after a 35-point win.

Interceptions 2023

A few weeks ago, fans thought Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott made quite a confident statement when he claimed he wouldn’t even reach 10 interceptions during the 2023 season after leading the league with 15 last year.

The Cowboys cleared up the “10 interceptions” comment shortly after the quote went viral, however, as the team said Prescott was actually talking about less stealthy interceptions.

But Prescott is now really having a shot at his turnover numbers, albeit in a less defined way.

“I’m going to get my interception numbers down,” Prescott said, via ESPN. “It’s a guarantee.”

Prescott’s INT numbers were a frequent talking point during the 2022 season. Although he only played 12 games, he led the league in picks and interception percentage (3.5%), while the Cowboys’ offense otherwise flourished. In Dallas’ 19–12 postseason loss to the 49ers, Prescott threw two interceptions and totaled only 206 yards.
