Dak Prescott pulled out of a 19-3 loss to the Dallas Buccaneers with a right arm injury at the end of the fourth quarter. According to The Athletic, owner Jerry Jones told reporters after the game that it would require surgery and that he would miss at least several weeks.
Head coach Mike McCarthy said the injury is “significant” and the team will learn more about the severity on Monday, according to NFL media.

A statement was issued by the Dallas Cowboys on March 8, 2021 confirming that Prescott had signed a four-year contract extension worth approximately $160 million in total.
Prescott was guaranteed a payout of $126 million in the deal, while there was also a $66 million signing bonus, the highest in NFL history at the time.
The structure of the deal ensured that the quarterback would receive a minimum base salary of $2.7 million and $1.6 million in 2021 and 2022, respectively, although his guaranteed amount for the year would be much larger.
He is set to be paid $31 million in 2023 and $29 million in 2024, which will have a dramatic impact on his net worth.
