CD Projekt RED’s Keanu Reeves fanfic, Cyberpunk 2077, may finally be complete. A major update to the game rolls out today, along with a release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, CDPR said in a glacial, minutia-packed livestream on its Twitch channel today.

Cyberpunk 2077 is increasing its romance
It’s 2022 and People Still Want to Make a BioShock Movie
The stream opened with footage of Cyberpunk 2077 playing on a PlayStation 5, which looked like a butter-smooth 60 frames per second. But the stream quickly moved to show how the role-playing shooter plays out on the Xbox Series S—still a high frame rate, and still beautiful, albeit with a notably less-sharp resolution—and the Xbox One. On the Series X, where it looks a whole lot like it does on the PS5.

Also, yes, the ground looked wet.

There’s a five-hour, one-month free trial for the game available on next-gen consoles starting today, complete with save-file transfers to the full version for players who lived through their time in Night City.

With Cyberpunk 2077 finally, speculation gave way to reality, however true or incomplete it was, and now players around the world are playing CD Projekt Red’s latest title. Despite the fact that it is “done”, these early weeks have shown that the game is in dire need of attention. Bugs, glitches, frame rate drop, and complaints about complete shutdown are some of the issues the community has been mentioning. One thing that has to be gleaned from it is still what everyone expected: a lot has been said about it because so many people have bought it.

Obviously, not every player bought it on the day of its release or even then; And as the new year approaches, more people will buy the game as updates emerge to fix many issues. With cyberpunk expanding the audience around experienced players and new gamers, the game can be equally overwhelming for both sides. There’s a lot to keep an eye on from the get-go. So, to assist with players new to Night City, here are some tips.
