Patch 1.5 patch notes
CD Projekt RED’s Keanu Reeves fanfic, Cyberpunk 2077, may finally be complete. A major update to the game rolls out today, along with a release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, CDPR said in a glacial, minutia-packed livestream on its Twitch channel today.
The stream opened with footage of Cyberpunk 2077 playing on a PlayStation 5, which looked like a butter-smooth 60 frames per second. But the stream quickly moved to show how the role-playing shooter plays out on the Xbox Series S—still a high frame rate, and still beautiful, albeit with a notably less-sharp resolution—and the Xbox One. On the Series X, where it looks a whole lot like it does on the PS5.
Also, yes, the ground looked wet.
There’s a five-hour, one-month free trial for the game available on next-gen consoles starting today, complete with save-file transfers to the full version for players who lived through their time in Night City.
1.5 patch notes
Cyberpunk 2077’s big new 1.5 update is out now, and includes improvements, bug fixes, and additions to the game in its biggest update since December 2020. Additionally, the new version launched alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, which boast both faster loading times and better graphics.
The 1.5 patch is a big one, weighing in at around 50GB, so hard drive or SSD space may be a factor for you. Full patch notes can be viewed below, but note that they are not representative of everything in the patch. The developers said during Tuesday’s livestream that it would be too overwhelming to list everything. Instead, the studio chose to highlight the most significant changes and improvements.
Additionally, players can now update and customize their appearance whenever they want from inside their apartment or safehouse. Additionally, Wilson’s 2nd Amendment Store now houses new merchandise, including two new weapons — the Dara Polytechnic Umbra Assault Rifle and Budget Arms Guillotine Submachine Gun — as well as new scopes and attachments.
In addition, new Photo Mode poses have been added in the 1.5 update, including new Rockstar-themed poses for Johnny Silverhand. The update makes the AI generally smarter, while the Cyberpunk 2077’s driving system has been improved to make handling and braking more realistic, among other things.
Another big change is that the perk system has been re-balanced, and some of the unpopular ones have been removed. Due to the major changes, all perk points have been reset, and players can now reassign them for free.
