Corey Drew Seeger (born April 27, 1994), nicknamed “Siggs”[1], is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Seeger was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft, and made his major league debut in 2015. Seeger was the 2016 National League (NL) Rookie of the Year and was an MLB All-Star in his first two seasons in the Majors. He was named the NL Championship Series Most Valuable Player (MVP) and World Series MVP while leading the Dodgers to the 2020 World Series title over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Seeger attended Northwest Cabaras High School in Kannapolis, North Carolina. He committed to attending the University of South Carolina on a college baseball scholarship. The Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB) selected Seeger in the first round as the 18th overall pick of the 2012 MLB Draft. He received a $2.35 million signing bonus instead of moving to South Carolina to sign with the Dodgers. 

Fielding

According to Baseball Sawant, Caesar is almost last in above average (29th) outs. In defensive runs saved, Caesar is ranked 22nd in the league per fangraph. Hopefully his stats will return to average as Hembo suggests.

Caesar needs to be better with leather to get this Dodgers team back on track. He has proved that he can do it, but now the time has come.
