Cooper Kupp won’t be wearing just a new Rams jersey next season. He will also be wearing a new jersey at the front and back.

Kupp announced on social media on Monday that he was surprisingly changing his jersey count from 18 to 10. However, this is not a completely random decision by Kupp. He wore the number 10 to college in eastern Washington, a tribute to the number 1 jersey he had worn in high school. It was a number his coach told him he earned, even though he didn’t want to wear it.

Now, Kupp is going back to No. 10. Here is the message he shared on Twitter about his decision.

During the first two weeks of the NFL season, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has been as good as any wideout in the league. He was tied for the NFL lead in receptions (16), third in the receiving yards (271) and second in touchdown receptions (three) at the end of Sunday’s games.

Kupp made nine passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams’ 27-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon as he improved to 2-0 in the youth season. In doing so, Kupp became the first player in franchise history with 100 receiving yards and touchdowns in the first two games of the season.

How much is worth

Cooper Kupp was the best wide receiver of the 2021 campaign. His performance was the best of any WR in decades.

He was the leading WR in 2021 at the reception with 145. He was the WR with the most receiving yards with 1,947. The player with more touchdowns.

Kupp received the Triple Crown of wide-receivers: most receptions, most receiving yards, and most touchdowns.

He became the first player to achieve the Triple Crown since Steve Smith’s 2005 campaign. Also, he is just the fourth player in NFL history to capture the Triple Crown.

“When you’re talking about some guys who have played some really good football around the league, that’s hard to do,” Kupp said.

“A lot of people I’ve learned from and been able to talk to and learn just a lot. That would be nice, though.”
