Cody Garrett Runnels Rhodes (born June 30, 1985) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE. He is also noted for his time at All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he was the inaugural and record three-time AEW TNT Champion, and also served as Executive Vice President.

TV show

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite has another special announced for soon-to-be parents Cody and Brandi Rhodes. TNT has ordered a new unscripted series of unscripted television, Roads to the Top, from Warner Bros., in association with Shade Media.

The new series will go inside the lives of Cody and Brandi Rhodes as they navigate their growing family while building AEW’s global wrestling empire.

Each 30-minute episode will feature a scene in and out of the ring. All the drama, prepared by a team of wrestlers, family and friends, who support and test them at every turn, will be featured.

Logo

Cody Rhodes has trademarked the logo tattooed on his neck.

Although he first applied for the trademark on June 26, the trademark protest was published on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

The attached image shows a grayscale version of the logo. This version of the logo was used in graphics to reveal Lee Johnson and The Gun Club as members of the most recent The Nightmare Family.

While Kodi has been using the logo for many years, the logo became permanently associated with him when he famously named it as a neck tattoo during his match against Maxwell Jacob Friedman at AEW Revolution 2020.

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE on Saturday Night 1 of WrestleMania 38 after leaving All Elite Wrestling, securing a major victory as a surprise rival to Seth Rollins.

American Nightmare hit Rollins with two straight crossroads. He pierced a third before hitting him with multiple punches and bionic elbows to pay tribute to his father, Dusty Rhodes.

Rhodes picked up The Visionary and gave Rhodes a third cross to take the win.

Rollins tried his best to put himself on the WrestleMania card in the weeks leading up to The Showcase of the Immortals, but was unsuccessful in matches against Kevin Owens and AJ Styles.

WWE chairman Vince McMahon agreed to put him on the WrestleMania card, but said the former Universal Champion would not know his opponent until he was in the ring.

While there were believed to be few potential candidates to face Rollins, Rhodes made his highly anticipated WWE return, which received an overwhelming response from the crowd at AT.

The two founding members of All Elite Wrestling have decided to leave the company.

Cody and Brandi Rhodes both released statements Tuesday morning announcing their departure from AEW. The company also released its own statement confirming that the married couple is stepping up from the promotion.

Cody’s potential combined with his courage and passion for our industry and his love for community outreach,” wrote AEW President and CEO Tony Khan Together they helped AEW deliver on our mission that fans have long needed – something new, innovative and sustainable.”
