Continuing his undefeated streak against Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes registered his third consecutive win over the former WWE Champion at Hell in a Cell 2022.
Entering the match with only one good arm, Rhodes didn’t let his left arm come in the way of the win. The American Nightmare suffered a torn pec this week.
How did get injured:
WWE has confirmed Cody Rhodes’ injury and that he will be at “Hell in the Cell” to face Seth Rollins.
The promotion announced that Cody Rhodes suffered a partially torn right pectoral tendon during a brawl with Seth Rollins this past Monday on WWE RAW. The tendon tore completely off the bone during weight training.
Injury:
As we noted earlier, during a WWE live event at the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois last night, WWE announced that Cody Rhodes was “injured.” He was then replaced by Drew McIntyre in his one-on-one match against Seth Rollins.
As also noted earlier, Rhodes had shared a photo of ringside chairs to hype up fans for tonight’s “Hell in the Cell” pay-per-view.
Rhodes is set to face Rollins in a Hell in the Cell match at the pay-per-view. Below is the lineup for tonight’s events.

WWE has released an official announcement regarding Cody Rhodes’s injury. The statement confirmed that Cody Rhodes will continue with his planned match against Seth Rollins at Hell in a cell.
It was reported earlier on that The American Nightmare had hurt himself in a match in Champaign, Illinois. He then further exacerbated the injury while lifting weights, resulting in a torn pec. WWE confirmed the news on the Hell in a Cell Kickoff show. They tweeted that Rhodes’s tendon was completely torn while training for the match against The Visionary.
