American tennis star Coco Gauff, 16, has taken a stance on racial injustice and the recent killing of George Floyd: she wants change to happen now.

Gough stood behind a podium as she gave an emotional speech during a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest in her hometown of Delray Beach, Florida.

“I think it’s sad that I’m here to protest the same thing that (my grandmother) did more than 50 years ago,” Gough said. “So I’m here to tell you guys that we should love each other first, no matter what. We should have tough conversations with our friends. I’ve been having tough conversations all week, in my non- Trying to educate black friends. How they can help the movement. Second, we need to take action.”
