First reported by WDAF-TV, a Fox News affiliate in Kansas City, Missouri, the crash happened just before 9 p.m. last weekend.

Boyer was driving around Osage Beach near US 54 and Missouri Highway 242.

According to an incident report from the Lake Ozark Police Department, Bauer hit a 47-year-old woman walking on the ramp.

He then immediately stopped the car and called 911, but the woman was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Mary Jane Simmons of Camdenton, Missouri.

A crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine was found in his luggage.

According to the accident report, she is believed to be under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident.

Bauer, 43, showed zero signs of impairment and provided a sample of .000 blood alcohol content at the accident site.

The former NASCAR Cup Series star currently works as a NASCAR analyst at FOX, but skipped last weekend’s Cup race at Sonoma Raceway due to what was described as a “personal matter” at the time.

Former NASCAR driver and Fox Sports analyst Clint Boyer struck and killed a pedestrian on a highway in southwest Missouri earlier this month, police said.

According to an accident report from Ozark Police, the accident occurred on June 5 at an exit ramp of US 54 near Osage Beach, Missouri.

Police said Boyer, a native of Emporia, Kansas, stopped shortly after the collision and called 911. Mary Jane Simmons, 47, of Camdenton, died on the spot.

The crash report said Boyer showed no signs of damage and provided a roadside blood sample that showed no trace of alcohol.

According to the police statement, a crystalline substance was found in a recreational vehicle park with the woman’s belongings and residents, where she was staying, believed she was under the influence of drugs.

Bauer retired in 2020 after winning 10 Cup Series races in 15 years. His sense of humor in the Fox Sports booth has been a hit since jumping into that job as a second careerist.
