The Citrus Bowl is an annual college football bowl game played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The bowl is operated by Florida Citrus Sports, a non-profit group that also organizes the Cheez-It Bowl and Florida Classic.

With Kentucky trailing by four points and 3:31 remaining, the Wildcats launched an eight-play, 80-yard go-ahead scoring drive. Robinson tallied four catches for 86 yards on the drive. His final catch, a 52-yard reception, broke UK’s record for most receiving yards in a single season (1,334).
Robinson’s 52-yard catch gave Kentucky first-and-goal at the 1-yard line. After a Kentucky false start, junior running back Chris Rodriguez broke a tackle in the backfield to score the winning touchdown with a 6-yard carry.

“Just plays so hard and makes such competitive plays in big moments,” Kentucky coach Mark Stoops said of Robinson after Kentucky’s 20-17 win. “That is what you need to win a Bowl game, to beat quality opponents. You need your guys to step up and make plays when you need them. He certainly did that.”
UK had gained only 121 yards of offense in the second half before the game-winning drive, but Robinson quickly erased any worries that the offense’s season-long struggles in two-minute drill situations would pop up again.
MVP:
In his postseason debut — and, likely, his finale — for Kentucky, Robinson had a stat line to remember: 170 yards on 10 receptions, at least half of them ending in bruising tackles, the after effects of which had him grimacing when he sat down and stood up in the postgame press conference following the Wildcats’ 20-17 win over Iowa in the VRBO Citrus Bowl. It was a performance correctly deemed worthy of the bowl’s MVP award.
It was made all the more sweeter that it came against the Hawkeyes, against whom he lost rivalry games, 27-24 and 26-20, as a Cornhusker.
