Chris Godwin, wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, had to be wheeled off on a cart towards the end of the Monday Night clash which the Buccaneers lost 31-41 to the Baltimore Ravens.

Godwin suffered a hit by Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith with less than a minute left in the game. The hit was never replayed by ESPN, and after a short commercial break, the viewers saw Godwin laying on a cart almost unconscious and with his left leg in a brace.

This was also a harsh blow for the Buccaneers as they had already lost Mike Evans, who had to leave the game due to a hamstring injury earlier on.

In the post game conference, Todd Bowles reported that Chris Godwin dislocated his ankle so that we will be missing this receiver for quite a long time.

On ‘Monday Night Football’, Godwin seemed to have a lower leg injury while playing in the Buccaneers’ 41-31 loss. There was only one minute left in the game when the receiver was brought down and needed medical help.

In the last seconds of Monday Night Football when the Buccaneers were losing, it seemed that the team suffered a different kind of loss that would hurt them in the long run.

Todd Bowles, the head coach for the Buccaneers said after the game that “early indication” is that, “This is an ankle dislocation from wide receiver Chris Godwin”. This statement came after the active roster lost the Monday night game to the Baltimore Ravens 41-31.

“He’s got the ankle, early indication is that he’s dislocated it. It doesn’t look good,” Bowles said while talking to reporters. “It looks very bad.”

The fans of the Buccaneers were concerned that Godwin might miss a few games. However, Tommy Rapoport , and Tom Peliesser, Insiders at NFL Network confirmed on Tuesday morning that Godwin will have an MRI scan to see how much his ankle is damaged and when he can have surgery. From the reports, Mike is expected not to play for the rest of the season.

Around one minute remaining in the game, Godwin managed to catch a 21-yard pass but was tackled by the Ravens’ linebacker Roquan Smith. Following the tackle, Godwin remained flat on the field for a couple of minutes and was subsequently carried off the pitch with a splint on his leg.
