71 – James “Big Cat” Williams, RT/DT (1991-2002): This was another tough one. Williams was drafted as a DT, but didn’t make much of an impact. He was converted to perfect tackle in ’92 and never looked back, starting 143 of his remaining 144-game career at RT. In total he appeared in 166 games. Williams had long been a favorite for a blue-collar “Lunch Pale” type guy who came into the league from younger Cheney and made his only Pro-Bowl after the 2001 season. He was also a special team man, blocking or deflecting eight field goals. Honorable Mention: George Conner, LT/LB/DT (1948-55): I know you’re asking “How can a Hall of Famer not be first on the list?” Well, Connor played half his career at number 81 and half at number 71. He went to two Pro-Bowls and was a two-time First-team All-Pro with no. The man was a tremendous player; He played both sides throughout his career and was one of the first athletic LBs, but with the numbers split he fell slightly. Earl Leggett, DT/DE (1957–65), Israel Idonijé, DT/DE (2004–present)

Their simple dark blue uniforms, rounded numbers, stark and straightforward patch,  and burnt orange accents are easily identifiable for any casual NFL fan. But odds are, if you’re not a Bears fan and didn’t grow up in Chicagoland, you may have noticed a curious element of the Bears’ uniform since 1984, the year before their historic Super Bowl season.

Matthew Stafford’s first impression with Rams fans was a good one.

Coming from the Lions via trade in the off-season, Stafford scored 20 for 26 for 321 yards and three touchdowns as the Rams made easy work of the Bears inside Sophie Stadium on Sunday night, including the first in the year. Bar fans. after opening.

Stafford’s ability to make big plays in the air helped Los Angeles go down to Chicago 34-14. He made touchdown passes of 67 yards (to Van Jefferson) and 56 yards (to Cooper Kupp).
