Round 2 schedule
Carolina and New York would meet in the playoffs for the second time, and for the first time in a best-of-seven series. The two teams first met in the 2020 Eastern Conference qualifying round as the Hurricanes earned a three-game sweep of the Rangers at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Carolina set a 3–1–0 record against New York during the 2021–22 regular season.
The Hurricanes will play Game 1 of the second round on home ice on Wednesday, May 18 at 7 p.m. at the PNC Arena.
