Interview
Candice Warner, formerly known as Candice Falzon, has been deeply emotional while recalling the “hurt” caused by the infamous toilet tryst with Sonny Bill Williams. In 2007, when Warner was 22 years old and single, she was filmed with Williams, who was 21 years old and had a girlfriend at the time, inside a toilet cubicle at the Clovelly Hotel in Sydney. This scandal has brought public shame and ridicule upon Warner for over a decade.
Both Warner and Williams have previously expressed remorse for the incident. Warner is set to release a memoir titled ‘Running Strong’, which delves into the controversy in detail. As part of the book’s promotion, Warner has participated in an exclusive face-to-face interview with Stellar on Sunday, and will also be featured on Channel 10’s The Project on Sunday night. In a snippet of the interview with host Sarah Harris, Warner is seen in tears as she discusses the ongoing impact of the toilet tryst scandal on her life.

Candice Warner has vehemently denied any sexual activity during her widely publicized ‘toilet tryst’ with Sonny Bill Williams. In an interview with The Sunday Project, the wife of Australian cricket star David Warner clarified that she and Williams only shared a kiss before they were photographed from the adjoining bathroom cubicle.
“We kissed. We kissed in that cubicle and who knows what could have happened? Maybe things may have eventuated, I don’t know, and I will never know,” she stated.
Warner, who is now 38 years old, expressed regret for not intervening and preventing the photograph from being taken and circulated. “What I do know is that I probably could have stopped that photograph going out,” she admitted.

Candice Warner became emotional as she discussed the traumatic incident involving Sonny Bill Williams in a recent interview ahead of the release of her memoir.
The incident took place at the Clovelly Hotel in 2007, when Warner, then 22 years old, and Williams, then 21 years old and a Bulldogs rugby player, met. According to Warner, they were chatting and flirting, and eventually decided to kiss in a more private location to avoid attention. However, they ended up in a place that was unacceptable, a bathroom cubicle.
“We kissed. We kissed in that cubicle and who knows what could have happened? Maybe things may have eventuated, I don’t know, and I will never know, but what I do know is that I probably could have stopped that photograph going out,” Warner revealed.
The private moment would have remained undisclosed if not for a photo taken by a bystander under the cubicle, which triggered a scandal. Warner admits she still regrets not handling the situation differently.
“I should have just picked up that phone and deleted it,” she admitted. “I shouldn’t have gone into the men’s bathroom, but I can’t change any of those things.”
