Candace Nicole Parker is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Sky of the Women’s National Basketball Association. She was selected as the first overall pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. A versatile player, Parker mainly plays the forward and center positions.

After she brought a WNBA championship to her hometown of Chicago last season, Parker announced Tuesday that her wife Anna Petrakova is pregnant with their first child.
“We’ve always dreamed of growing our family…. it’s surreal that we now have a baby on the way! Lailaa is pumped to be a big sister!” Parker, 35, wrote in her caption.

Parker has a 12-year-old daughter, Lailaa, from a previous marriage with former Duke product and NBA player Shelden Williams.
The Chicago Sky captain announced the news on the couple’s second wedding anniversary, and debuted Petrakova’s baby bump in various photos.
The expectant mom held her belly in one photo, with Parker’s daughter cradling Petrakova’s bump in another snap.
Baby Dady:
On November 13, 2008, Parker married Shelden Williams, who played college basketball at Duke University and also played in the NBA. The couple has a daughter named Lailaa Nicole Williams, born on May 13, 2009.
It is the first child for the WNBA’s reigning MVP and rookie of the year and husband Shelden Williams of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Goodwin Sports Management announced the baby girl was born in Los Angeles on Wednesday. She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long.
NBA veteran Shelden Williams was named an assistant coach for the Erie BayHawks’ new-look staff for the upcoming season on Tuesday. Currently affiliated with the Atlanta Hawks, the former big man will return to familiar stomping grounds of sorts, having been drafted by Atlanta and starting his playing days there.
