The Canadian Open (French: L’Omnium Canadien) is a professional golf tournament in Canada. It is co-organised by Golf Canada (formerly known as the Royal Canadian Golf Association) and the PGA Tour. It was first played 118 years ago in 1904, and has been held annually since then. except World War I, World War II and the COVID-19 pandemic. Open Championship and U.S. It is the third oldest tournament on the tour after the Open. It is the only national championship that is a PGA Tour-managed event.

The RBC Canadian Open has returned to the PGA Tour schedule for the first time since 2019 as COVID-related restrictions thwarted plans to stage it in 2020 and 2021.
Three years ago, Rory McIlroy scored 61 as he raced to victory, seven shots ahead of runners-up Shane Lowry and Webb Simpson to claim $1.36m first prize from a $7.6m purse. The Northern Irishman will be back to defend his title this year as part of a strong field including world No. 1 Scotty Scheffler, PGA champion Justin Thomas, Players champion Cameron Smith and Sam Burns, who won two PGA Tour wins so far in 2022 Huh.
