Real Madrid have announced the signing of French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga for a reported fee of €30 million. Camavinga, who is 18 years old, leaves Stade Rennais when he had just one year left on his deal with the French side. He signed a six-year deal.
Camavinga is a pure central midfielder who will compete with Kroos, Modric and Valverde for minutes. His role in the 2021-2022 squad is not clear as he will almost certainly be behind all those players in the rotation, so he will have to keep developing and improving as a player before he can actually be a key player for Real Madrid.
