Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been suspended for betting on NFL games for the 2022 season.
The suspension, announced Monday by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, is for activity that occurred while Ridley was away from the team over mental health concerns.
The league says the suspension will last “at least through the conclusion of the 2022 season”.
The NFL says the betting took place during a five-day period at the end of November 2021. Ridley, 27, was placed on a non-football illness list after last season 8, which ended on 1 November.
