The latest is a stunner, as the Atlanta Falcons tackled suspended wide receiver Calvin Ridley to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a series of conditional draft considerations, as outlined by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network:
Ridley, 27, was suspended minimally for the entirety of the 2022 season in March after it was revealed that he had bet on NFL games in the 2021 campaign while on a list of non-football illness and was not playing.
Bet
Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley reportedly bet on more games than was initially reported.
According to documents obtained and reviewed by Sports Handle, the Falcons placed over $3,900 on six different bets, which included Falcons games. There were five bets involving Atlanta’s moneyline, while one was the $1,300 total for the Atlanta team in the second half of the Falcons’ 21–14 victory against the Jaguars on November 28.
Parley was based on a $300, 11-leg bet of the game. Per sports handle, the bet—with odds of 481/1—would have produced over $144,000 if it were successful.
The former Alabama star reportedly made two additional $100 bets on NFL games that didn’t involve the Falcons. In those games bets, Ridley won and made a profit of $654. Per sports handle, Ridley placed 33 additional bets on other sports and leagues totaling $32,733. Of those bets, Ridley made a profit of $2,744.

Considers Calvin Ridley as one of America’s most talented 2015 wide receiver prospects. The 6’2″, 170-pound playmaker from Pompano Beach, Florida, provides Monarch High School with a major scoring threat on every offensive possession.
He averaged 28 yards per reception in 2013, scoring 12 touchdowns in the process. Ridley caught 41 passes for 1,131 yards during the state playoff journey.
His nationwide recruitment concluded in April with a commitment to Alabama. Nick Saban ousted more than 20 coaches who aimed to take down Ridley.
Florida State, USC, Oklahoma, Auburn, Ohio State, Miami and Notre Dame are among the programs to be explored elsewhere after their pledge to the Crimson Tide. He committed to Alabama with Monarch teammate Shawn Burgess-Baker.
