Wife
Courtney and Calvin were married in late June at the Gates on Roblin in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Their wedding day was characterized by their true love for each other.
After taking great pictures after a sunny morning, we headed to the venue right when it rained. The ceremony had to be postponed and water fell from the sky. Huge props for the team at soiree event planning, which didn’t move the ceremony inside, but bumped up cocktail hour to buy enough time for the clouds outside.
In Manitoba fashion, guests helped dry the seats of the event staff and we all went out for a beautiful and meaningful ceremony!

Contract
The Detroit Red Wings have signed goalkeeper Calvin Picard for a one-year contract extension.
Picard, 29, has been with the Red Wings since 2019. He appeared in six games for Detroit last season – a 2-1-1 record, .874 percent saved. He spent almost the entire season in the taxi squad, but also appeared in three games for the Grand Rapids Griffins.
He was on loan to Vienna Capitals in Austria while the North American leagues were stalled due to the pandemic.
Picard has now joined the Red Wings’ goalkeeper group which includes Alex Nedeljkovic and Thomas Grease.
NHL free agency opens at noon on Wednesday, July 28.

First season
On the road against Sidney Crosby, Evgeny Malkin and the mighty Pittsburgh Penguins – the Detroit Red Wings handed Calvin Picard a more difficult assignment for his first and perhaps lone NHL debut of the season.
