Caleb Williams wants part ownership: Rumor| Is it possible

The USC football team is currently enjoying the presence of Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams on campus, even after a disappointing loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on the road last weekend. Williams threw the game uncharacteristically to opponents, throwing three interceptions, while Sam Hartman and the Irish took advantage of a sound ball control attack en route to a 48–20 home victory.

Rumor

Caleb Williams wants part ownership: Rumor| Is it possible

The 2024 NFL Draft is highlighted by some big names at the top, including your Trojans QB Caleb Williams.

Williams is widely expected to be the top pick in the draft (or at least he was until USC blew up on national TV against Notre Dame last Saturday), which means teams will be putting all of their eggs on Caleb. Ready to put it in the basket, and let him take the reigns of his franchise.

This gives Williams a lot of autonomy and power, but it seems he wants more autonomy and power than any player in NFL history, and that’s equity.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the USC junior wants partial ownership from an NFL team that plans to select him in the 2024 draft.

This is definitely a questionable question to say the least, as PFT noted that Aaron Rodgers tried to do the same thing with the Jets, but the NFL prevented it from happening.

Is it possible

In a post Tuesday on the app formerly known as Twitter, it was revealed that Williams reportedly wanted partial ownership of the team that drafted him. It’s not allowed in the NFL until July for some reasons explained by Sports Business Journal.
