I just read a paragraph about how women haven’t contributed anything to science, philosophy, inventions, or anything else in the last “100,000” years and how we should stop pretending that we have. Keeping in mind that I’d just finished Rachel Ignorofsky’s wonderful book Women in Science. I’m just not sure what message she’s trying to convey here. Sure, men have dominated the sciences, but women have contributed to science while being overshadowed and sometimes plagiarised by men. He argues that we should stop blaming men for our failures and lack of contribution. I just think it’s strange to ignore the work that women have done historically, especially when women have had Nobel prizes taken away from them by their husbands. Is the goal to be funny?

The NRL has banned Newcastle NRLW player Caitlin Moran for a social media post about the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Moran made headlines last Friday with a post in which she referred to the late Queen Elizabeth II as a “dumb dog.”
The post was removed after about eight hours, but screenshots were examined by the NRL’s integrity unit.
The NRL announced on Tuesday that Moran would be suspended for one match, or one-fifth of the NRLW season.

The former Jillaroos back becomes the first women’s player in NRLW history to be banned for an off-field matter.

“There is a complicated relationship between Indigenous peoples and the monarchy,” Griffiths said.
“If Caitlin has done something, the Integrity Unit will look into it, and we’ll work our way through the process.”
“We’re talking a little bit of negativity with Caitlin, but if we look at where she’s come from, she wins us the World Cup in 2017 and then does her knee the next year and has probably been in the wilderness since then.”
However, the NRL stated that the comments were unacceptable under any circumstances.
“Rugby league is an inclusive game with many communities,” the league said in a statement.
“Regardless of personal preferences, all players and officials must follow the rules.”
