Who is:
Gerry Lester “Bubba” Watson Jr. is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. One of the few left-handed golfers on tour, he is a multiple major champion, with victories at the Masters Tournament in 2012 and 2014.
Watson is among the longest drivers on the PGA Tour; in 2007 he had an average drive of 315.2 yards (288.2 m) and can hit a ball over 350 yards (320 m), capable of generating a ball speed up to 194 mph (312 km/h).[6] He has finished top of the driving distance statistics five times in his career, during the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2012, and 2014 seasons.
Book:
He was a small-town boy who burst onto the international golf scene with a dramatic hook shot from deep in the woods to win the Masters— before the game he loved almost killed him.
Growing up in the small-town of Bagdad outside of Pensacola, Florida, Bubba Watson dreamed of being a champion golfer, and he has more than fulfilled that dream with twelve wins on the PGA Tour, including two Masters. A man of faith, he loves spending time with his wife, Angie, their two children, Caleb and Dakota, and his friends.
Mental health:
Today on the podcast, we talk to Watson about his new book and why he wanted to share his pain with the world. We talk faith and he shares his testimony.
We talk mental health and why it was important for him to bring Christ into his battle. Finally, we talk adoption and why he and his wife decided to make adoption an option.
