Injury
Alabama quarterback, current Heisman Trophy winner, Bryce Young injured the AC joint in his shoulder during the first part of his 49-26 win in Arkansas on Saturday.
Young threw his helmet in desperation, broke into the medical tent, and later went into the locker room. His parents gave up their seats in the stands to sit with him.
Young was able to return to the sideline, and Alabama coach Nick Saban said the injury was not considered serious.
“I think he’s fine,” Saban said. “He doesn’t have any serious injuries. We didn’t think he could go back into the game today because I didn’t think he had much steam to throw the ball.
“He’s had these [injuries] before and in a few days he starts responding very well. So we’ll just have to see how it goes and, you know, play it day to day.”
A potential first-round pick in the next year’s NFL draft, Young completed 7 of 13 passes for 173 yards, one touchdown and one interception before injury. He was on edge and in full uniform during the second half, but didn’t take a picture.
What happened to

Young originally landed awkwardly on a carry on his right arm and shoulder as he attempted to throw the ball in the second quarter.
The quarterback remained on the field for the next game, but he groaned in pain as he threw the ball and went straight into the injured tent.
Young did not come out of the injury tent in time for Alabama’s next offensive series, and quarterback Jalen Millroe entered in his place.
Did get hurt
Alabama quarterback Bryce Young suffered an AC joint injury in the shoulder and the second quarter saw No. 2 Alabama’s 49-26 win over No. 20 Arkansas on Saturday.
