Brock Porter (born June 3, 2003) is an American baseball pitcher.

In the 1967 January Draft, Accors outfielder Leonard Weems was the number 18 pick by the Twins, then returned to Minnesota and took on Lansing Sexton outfielder Clifford Foster at number 14 in the January Secondary Draft of the same year.

Porter, ranked No. 7 prospect in the draft entered by Baseball America, was eventually selected by the Texas Rangers with the 109th pick overall—100 picks fewer than some mock drafts.
“He’s the best healthy pitcher in the draft,” said MLB.com draft specialist Jim Kallis. “Thought he would go in the top 10-15 picks but it’s a great combo package for (Texas), you get Kumar Rocker (at No. 3) and save money, now you get Brock Porter.”

Brock Porter, a right-hand pitcher at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, was selected by the Texas Rangers in the fourth round of the MLB Draft on Monday with the 109th overall pick.
Porter slipped down the draft more than many anticipated. Jim Kallis and Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com, in their final mock draft, mocked the New York Mets in 11th place overall and the Detroit Tigers in 12th place overall.

Actually, he got his secondary education from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s School, excelling in these sports.
Three years ago, his school won the Division 2 States Championship, launching the institution as an elite in the sports world. Although the pandemic was raging in the background, the Eaglets baseball team hasn’t given up hope.
