Brittney Yevette Griner is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Mercury of the Women’s National Basketball Association. She played college basketball for the Baylor Lady Bears in Waco, Texas. She is the only NCAA basketball player to score 2,000 points and block 500 shots.

Phoenix Mercury All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medalist Brittney Griner has reportedly been detained in Russia on drug charges.
The New York Times reported that the Russian Federal Customs Service detained an American basketball player at Sheremetyevo Airport near Moscow after finding hashish oil vape cartridges in her luggage. The Customs Service didn’t identify who was arrested, saying only that she’d won two Olympic gold medals.

On August 14, 2014, Griner announced her engagement to fellow WNBA player Glory Johnson.
A Russian news service identified the player as the 31-year-old Griner, and a security video viewed by the Times shows a player that appears to be her.
In the video, Griner is going through security wearing a sweatshirt and face mask, and then it shows someone, presumably a customs employee, remove something from her bag.

Cherelle is a blogger, according to her IG bio, and her LinkedIn bio states that she is currently enrolled as a law student at North Carolina Central University. The WAG is also working as a teacher and graduated Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and government.

In April 2015, Brittney and her then-fiancee were arrested on assault and disorderly conduct allegations. They went on to get married one month later.
“You work things out and fight for what you love,” Glory told People magazine of their relationship. “It wasn’t about other people. It was about us.”
In June 2015, Glory revealed she was pregnant with twins following an IVF procedure the couple underwent together. Just one day later, Brittney filed for an annulment from Glory, claiming that she married Glory under pressure and that she was not involved in any way with her pregnancy.
