During a pre-season visit to France, Brendan Rodgers, eager to push his Leicester squad out of their comfort zone, took a glacier walk with his players and climbed Mont Blanc. After a tough few days of double sessions, they head to Chamonix at 7.30 a.m. to head out with crampons and helmets on to Chamonix, at the base of Western Europe’s highest peak, before hiking in the Italian Alps. departed.
“I think they all enjoyed the experience,” Rodgers says. “Wards [Jamie Vardy], as he does, likes to hunt down the weak on the cable car and there were some screams … When you’re going up, it’s high! There’s a whole lot around it. The thing was, this season can be tough for us. But if you’re going to try and get to the highest point, you’ve got to go through those moments.”

The Northern Ireland-born coach played in his youth with Ballymena United, before signing on professional terms with Reading, but had to retire from professional football at the age of 20 as a result of a genetic knee condition.
The former defender continued his partnerships with non-league clubs Newport County, Witney Town and the now-defunct Newbury Town, while remaining on Reading’s books as a coach and then academy director.
Rodgers moved to Chelsea as head youth coach from September 2004 after impressing first-team manager Jose Mourinho during a spell in Spain. Rodgers credits Mourinho for his impeccable preparation and command of the small details.

The first point on the agenda was the departure of club legend Kasper Schmeichel, and what this means, if anything, for the club’s upcoming transfer business. Rogers has also named a new captain.
The futures of Wesley Fofana, James Maddison, and Yuri Tielemans were also the subject of discussion, amid interest from Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal respectively.
Rodgers also issued injury updates on Ricciardo Pereira and Harvey Barnes after being ruled out of a friendly match against Sevilla last week.
Wife
Charlotte began dating Brendan while working for Liverpool FC shortly after splitting from his wife Susan Rodgers after 24 years of marriage. Serle was also married to Steven Hind seventeen months ago. They also have a daughter named Lola, who was born in 2013.
Rodgers got engaged to Charlotte in February 2016, and they married in a lavish ceremony at the Loch Lamond Golf Club on the shores of Loch Lamond, Scotland. They don’t have any children yet.
