Airport
Former NFL player Brendan Langley was arrested for assault and a New Jersey airport employee was fired after the two had a bloody brawl at a United Airlines check-in counter.
The fight, partly captured on cell phone video and posted on social media, took place at Newark Liberty International Airport just after 11 a.m. Thursday.
In the video, the worker is seen slapping Langley in the face and Langley kicks him back. The two men exchange words and Langley throws a punch but the worker dodges it.
Langley then moves toward the worker and delivers more punches, hitting the man in the face. The man stumbles upon some stuff and walks over to Langley, the video shows.
Fight
The two men continue to fight as the other passengers move out of their way. The video shows Langley and the worker briefly parting ways and the worker exchanging a few more words before hitting Langley in the face.
“You saw that s—,” Langley says before repeatedly punching the worker.
The worker falls and is seen bleeding from the top of his left eye. In the video, the worker wakes up and approaches Langley as two airport workers arrive and break up a brawl.
The video does not show what led to the fight. United Airlines said Langley, 27, was charged with improper use of a wheelchair to transport his luggage.
